BAXTER BULLETIN OBITUARY Augustus Taylor Elkins, Retired Farmer Augustus Taylor Elkins, 79, a retired farmer of Gassville, died in a local hospital on June 25. Funeral services were held at the Roller chapel at 3 p. m. on June 27 with Rev, Clarence Horst officiating. Mr.

Elkins, who was born in Cresedo, West Virginia, on November 25, 1878, was the son of the late Kelly Elkins and Elizabeth Elkins. He was a member of the Church of God, and had resided in this area for the past 10 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edith Elkins of Rest Haven, and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in the Conley cemetery under the direction of the Roller Funeral home, George Hamm, Rites in Ohio George W.

Ham died Sunday in the Veterans Administration hospital near Akron, Ohio. He was well known by sportsmen and guides in the Twin Lakes section, since he spent the past several winters in Mountain Home. Before his retirement he was district supervisor for the Goodrich Rubber company, with headquarters in Kansas City, Mo. He was a World War veteran and a member of the Catholic church. Last rites were held yesterday in the Catholic church in Akron.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. J. P. Doran of Akron, two nieces and two nephews. Three Brothers and Promise Land Carol, Stanley and Sharon Trauth went with Mr.

and Mrs. Royster to Kansas City, where they spent one night and took the train the next day to St. Louis, where they plan to spend the next several weeks with their grandparents. Mrs. Bill Gill and daughter Sharon, Carol Watson and Mrs.

Jenny Yansky went on a sightseeing tour of Eureka Springs last Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Harry, Funk visited in Mr. and Mrs. Bill "Gregory Saturday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gilbert, formerly of Mountain Home, spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. James O'Brien.

Jim Clifton of Terre Haute, Ind. spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Roy Clifton. Mr. and Mrs.

Dane Kendall of Granite City, Ill, visited Mr. and Mrs. James O'Brien last week. Mr. and Mrs.

John Whipple of St. Louis, Mo. visited Mr. and Mrs. R.

M. Wearden last Thursday. Visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James O'Brien the past week were Mr.

and Mrs. Del Holmes of Dallas, Texas. They returned to their home Sunday. Kermit Schwanz has been ill for the last week. Mr.

and Mrs. Bill Engelhart and Mr. and Mrs. Earl De Vries of Lincoln, Nebr. were guests in the home of Mr.

and Mrs. Floyd Hawkins Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. James O'Brien, accompanied by Mr.

and Mrs. Del Holmes, motored to Eureka Springs, Hollister and Branson Saturday on a sightseeing tour. Turnbo. They also plan to spend two weeks on the lake vacationing. Jim Schwanz is working for Floyd Hawkins for the summer. Mr. and 1 Mrs.

Charles Stevens of Du Quoin, Ill, spent the week end with her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. George Fithian, Wilma Hucklebee and Reba Budsell of Kokomo, were visitors in home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hatfield several days.

William Fithian and Don Cox of Galveston, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. George Fithian, Jr. and family of Fairview, Ill. are here over the Fourth of July holidays visiting Mr.

and Mrs. George Fithian. William and George, are Mr. Fithian's sons. Rev.

and Mrs. George Reno of Baker, La. are holding evangelistic meetings at Three Brothers every evening at 8 P. m. Special music is featured, Everyone is invited to attend.

Misses Joyce Suttle, Lorna Griffin and Peggy Christensen spent Thursday night with Sandra Dahlke. James Hamilton had the misfortune to injure his legs in an accident recently. He is still confined at home. Mr. and Mrs.

George Dahlke had as guests Monday evening Mrs. Bill Christensen and daughters, Peggy and Sue and Gwen Norton. Whiteville Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dilbeck of Buena Park, Calif, are here visiting with Paul's father, John Dilbeck, and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lee Powell and family visited Sunday with Jerrel and Joan McCracken. Mr. and Mrs.

Hiram Tucker are glad to have all their children with them for the Fourth of July. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Stafford and Jimmie were here last week end from Kansas, where Weldon is employed. Everyone is glad to know that Virgil Hodges has moved his garage Gassville to his home on Hwy.
