The Missing movie ending explained the discovery that June's presumably dead father, James (Tim Griffin), is behind the scheme to kidnap Grace in a bid to get his daughter back, which involved using Kevin to con Grace Allen into going on vacation.

June's mom Grace (Nia Long) walks in as James is suffering from a nosebleed, though he says he is fine. The video cuts off before the end as Grace is viewing and editing it. A brief montage shows that James apparently died from a brain tumor, with many people offering June and Grace their sympathies.

Baptiste recovers the evidence of Garrett's murder but gives it to Tony, who he feels has already suffered enough. Eventually the pair discover that Oliver was killed shortly after his disappearance, but no one survives who can tell them what happened to his body.
